Happy Little Portrait
A sweet, simple portrait full of charm.

What's Included:

The orientation of your illustration will change depending on the quantity and type of people in your order. For example: 3 adults will be portrait, 4 adults will be landscape. This is to account for the sizing and best look for your custom illustration. Have a look in the gallery for more examples.

Frequently Asked Questions
What file type will I receive?
You'll get a high resolution, JPG file sent to your email on completion. It will be set up in an A4 size format. Digital downloads are standard, they are free with every order.
Do you offer physical prints?
Yes! If you would prefer us to print it for you, please let us know when you submit your order form above. All prints are A4 size, we can deliver it to your door for a small additional fee. We also offer add-ons for tote bags and mugs that feature your custom illustration.
How long will it take?
Turnaround time is usually 2 - 3 weeks, but it can vary depending on my current schedule. I only take a limited number of custom orders at a time to help speed up the process and ensure the quality of work for each illustration.
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
The 'Happy Little Story' commission is a fixed cost of €65, you can choose to add-on extras such as physical prints, tote bags or mugs at an additional cost. These can be found in the form above and purchased as soon as you submit your order form. You will be brought to our checkout to finalise your order.
For the 'Happy Little Portrait' commission, it's a little different.. Pricing is not fixed and not booked immediately. This is due to their being a lot more variables in pricing due to different ages/amounts of people in each illustration. You will find pricing examples in the photos above. The form also shows the price as you select options in the dropdown sections. To sum up, adults/children over the age of 4 cost €15 each, toddlers 2-3 years old cost €10 each while infants 0-1 year cost €5 each. Once you submit your order form we will review and get in touch with a payment request to match your illustration needs. You have the choice to cancel at this point if you are not happy with the cost, this is absolutely no problem, I kindly ask that you let me know your choice either way so I can keep my order book up to date. If you are happy you can proceed to our checkout to finalise your order.
Please note, once you complete the checkout, you will receive an automated email from our shop. This email will show a delivery timeframe which should be ignored for commissioned orders.
Can I request changes?
You will receive a rough sketch of your illustration before any major work starts. This is the time where you can review and ask for changes if necessary. If changes/small tweaks are required, I will rework the sketch and repeat the process for a final round of revisions. Once approved, I will complete the artwork to your liking. No major changes may be made after full approval without an additional fee.
How do I share the details for my commission?
You will find a 'file upload' box in the forms above. This is where you should add any relevant photos you wish to share with me to complete your illustration. Please know that your images are safe with me. They will only be used for your particular order, only seen by me while I work on your illustration. They will be deleted after the illustration is fully completed. Please feel free to use the text box provided in the forms above to add any additional information you would like us to know about your photos/details required for your commission.
Can you draw me with my pet?
Currently, I cannot include pets in the 'Happy Little Portrait' commission. However, it is possible to include a pet's head in the background illustrations in the 'Happy Little Story' commission. You will find examples of this in the photo gallery.
What's your art style?
The art style I am offering for these commissioned illustrations is quite different to my usual work. It is a soft, playful style with a whimsical feel to it. I will focus on capturing charm and subtlety rather than hyper-realistic likeness.
What kind of photos should I send? Can you combine multiple together?
Clear, well-lit photos are always best. The main importance I need from your photos to get the likeness of the person is hairstyle, clothing and accessories from head to shoulders. You can send me multiple different photos of the same person if necessary, along with a detailed description. For example: Your friend Lucy usually wears her hair in a pony tail with a floral scrunchie, she also likes to wear a knitted jumper. You send one photo of Lucy with a pony tail and t-shirt on, another photo of her hair down with a knitted jumper on and a third photo of a scrunchie from google search. I will combine all the important elements together to illustrate Lucy how you described.
For the 'Happy Little Story' commission, you can send me photos of your pet, specific objects like your car or childhood teddy bear, places or anything else you want me to include with specific designs or colours.. or just describe them in detail if you don't have any photographs!
